I’ve been to some fantastic sessions at SXSW, but the one I attended this afternoon with NBA star Shaquille O’Neal was particularly amazing. He was interviewed by Brian Solis, a well-known media strategist and principal at the Altimeter Group. The session touched on everything from education (did you know Shaq has a master’s degree and PhD?) to business to leadership.
And since it was Shaq, you know there was lots of comedy as well. In fact, from the moment he stepped on stage people were laughing. Why? Because he was carrying Brian Solis on his back!

From there, the comedy just kept on coming. I managed to capture a few of the moments on video (I’ll apologize in advance about the lighting and baritone tenor of Shaq’s voice) and you can watch them below. You’ll see everything from Shaq having a hilarious phone conversation with an attendees’ girlfriend to him singing and kissing Brian on the cheek. Consider this your lighthearted blog post of the day.

All and all it was a fun session, and without a doubt, one of the more memorable sessions from this year’s SXSW Interactive conference.
